Azzurris held their nerve in the FIFA World Cup final penalty shoot out to beat France 5-3. The score was 1-1 after extra-time. Les Bleus midfield maestro, Zinadine Zidane was sent-off in the second half after head-butting Marco Matterazi, who scored Italy's equalizer through a corner. Earlier, it was Zizou who scored a cheeky penalty to put France ahead. Italy's win was their fourth World Cup triumph.
