Red Devils Triumph!

Manchester United scored four goals to crush Wigan Athletic in the Carling Cup final held at the Millennium Stadium. Wigan's first appearance in a major final was not a happy one as goals from Rooney (two), Saha and Ronaldo settled the Red Devils only second victory in this competition. Elsewhere, in the EPL, Liverpool, Bolton and Middlesborough all won against Manchester City, Fulham and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
