Les Bleus Humbled, Pumas Triumph

In a thrilling Armistice Day round of international rugby union test matches, there were some surprises. The biggest was Ireland's energetic demolition of South Africa at Lansdowne Road. The Springboks lost 15-32. Argentina provided the next upset when they overcame World Champions England at Twickenham. With this defeat, England equalled their worst run of losses. The Pumas triumphed 25-18. The much anticipated match between France and New Zealand did not materialise as the All-Blacks steamrolled over Les Bleus 47-3 at Lyon. All-Blacks made ten changes to their starting line-up, making the boundary between first and second teams even blurrer. As expected, Scotland defeated Romania 48-6 at Murrayfield. While in Cardiff, Wales reigned supreme over the Pacific Islanders giving coach Gareth Jenkins his maiden win. The Welsh team won 38-20. Finally, The Wallabies had to sweat it out before overpowering Italy 25-18 in Rome.
