Are Liverpool Doomed This Season?

This has been one of the worst starts Liverpool had to endure in any season. After six matches played, the Reds have only one win, three draws and two defeats to show to the whole world. Six points and currently placed 15th in the English Premier League. Are Liverpool doomed this season? I hope not. Well, it is still September and very early into the 2010/2011 season.

If you analyze Liverpool's matches, the two defeats were away to two EPL giants, namely, Manchester City (0-3) and Manchester United (2-3). The draws were rather unfortunate. The Reds managed three so far, against Arsenal (1-1), Birmingham City (0-0) and Sunderland (2-2). Liverpool's solitary win came with a victory over West Bromwich Albion (1-0).

What I suggest Roy Hodgson to do in future matches is to play to their strengths. I know injuries do not help. But Roy must know by now what is his best team and best formation. Of course, team tactics will vary according to the opposition, but the Reds must know what is at stake. Not qualifying for the Champions League must be a big blow to all Reds' fans. But, they must take this in their stride.

Like all Liverpool fans, I would like to see the Reds start winning again and finish in the top four again. All the best! You'll Never Walk Alone!
