Dowie Out, Chadwick In
English Premiership club Charlton Athletic has sacked manager Iain Dowie after only 12 matches in charge. The Addicks are currently bottom of the table with only two wins to show. Even Charlton's success in reaching the Carling Cup quarter-final did not prevent the axe to fall on Dowie, who arrived at The Valley after achieving great success with London rivals Crystal Palace. The Charlton management is now on the lookout for a successor.
In the meantime, Norwich City FC has secured the services of Stoke City winger, Luke Chadwick, on loan until January, with a view to a permanent move. Chadwick once played for Manchester United and agreed to the Canaries' offer partly to be closer to his family. His skills and ability will prove to be a great asset in the Canaries' assault to gain promotion to the Premiership next season.
