So much had happened since I last posted here. Germany won the FIFA Brazil World Cup, multiple airline crashes, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, plus natural calamities. Also, Muslims around the world celebrated Eid Mubarak more than a week ago after fasting in the holy month of Ramadhan. I managed to fully complete the obligatory fasting, too, much to my relief.

In the FIFA Brazil World Cup, hosts Brazil were humiliated 7-1 by the magnificent German team in the semi-finals. Many records were broken by this defeat and I guess it will take a long time for the Brazilians to get over this. In the other semi-final, Argentina triumphed in the penalty shoot-out. I hate it when matches are decided in this way. The final was always tense, very absorbing and in the end, the never-say-die German team emerged victorious with a goal deep into extra-time. Congratulations, Germany!!

The whole world was again shocked when a second Malaysia Airlines airplane MH17 had been apparently shot down in Ukraine. Until now, the perpetrators had yet to be found. This come as a big blow after a few months earlier flight MH370, also owned by Malaysia Airlines, had been lost without a trace in the South Indian Ocean. Search efforts are still ongoing until this moment.

The Glasgow Commonwealth Games opened with much celebrations in the Scottish city. 71 countries were involved. In the end, England became overall champions. My home country of Malaysia underachieved with a 6 gold medal haul, which came from weightlifting, squash, diving and badminton (3 gold medals). These Games kept me occupied for many nights as the satellite TV I subscribed had a special channel where many sports were televised simultaneously in HD.

A typhoon struck the Philippines and China experienced a 6.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale. These are tell-tale signs that the end of the world is near.

But the most sickening news of all is of the ZIONISTS murdering the Palestinian people of Gaza. Women and children were massacred and most nations are keeping quiet about this, including the United States of America. Shame on you, Obama! It is almost a month since the ZIONISTS started attacking Gaza and I believe that they are fighting a losing war as God is always on the side of the oppressed.
