Yes, the blessed month of Ramadhan is here again. The 1st of Ramadhan, 1436 Hegira started on 18th June 2015 in Malaysia. In this holy month, Muslims throughout the world will fast beginning from before dawn and ending at dusk. One of the objectives of fasting is to replicate the hardships of the poor and underfed people. During fasting, Muslims are to abstain from eating, drinking, having sex and even smoking. This will inculcate more spiritual strength and to teach all Muslims to be thankful in whatever they possess. In this month, believed to be during the last ten nights of Ramadhan, there will be a night called "Lailatul-Qadr". Muslims believe that this night is better than a thousand months, meaning that prayers during this night will get rewards magnified like one thousand months.
